True Wealth Management is located in San Rafael, California and is owned and managed by Thomas McAuliffe. He has been in the business of working with people to create strategies designed to protect them and their family's wealth for over 25 years, for the past 16 years through his affiliation with LPL Financial Services LLC, Member FINRA and SIPC.
In his affiliation with Insight Benefits Group LLC, he offers access to some of the industry's most comprehensive benefit plans for business owners, executives, and high-net worth families in the Northern California Bay Area.
He helps his clients engage in family-centric, values-based planning. He helps them make thoughtful, informed decisions about their finances and the future of their families.
Tom's own family of origin was far from financially adept. As a child he told himself that he would learn how money works best and then share that information with others so they could avoid the obvious traps and perils that money, or its lack, creates.
One of the key prosperity components he discovered was the value of selfless service. His passion for the community and giving is seen in his dedication to spiritual and financial education. Tom is President of the Board of Trustees for Unity in Marin, a progressive spiritual community located in Novato, CA, where he shepherds the principles of abundance and teaches prosperity consciousness.
He was also fund raising chair at Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Marin County for their successful Meditation Hall Capital Campaign.
Tom is well versed in the area of planned giving and structuring both capital and planned giving campaigns to benefit non-profits and the communities they serve. He founded The Donor Motivation Program of The Bay Area to help non-profits engage their donors in legacy planning.
In his off hours you can find Tom volunteering at the Elks Lodge in San Rafael or at Unity in Marin. He and his wife Erika enjoy working in their garden and hiking in the hills and in the Sierras. He is also fond of sailing on the Bay and downhill skiing in Tahoe, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico.
He lives with his wife Erika Martinez and their beloved cat Spot aka Uncle Jr., aka Yow Ling in the Gerstle Park neighborhood of San Rafael. *

*We are sad to report Spot passed away on January 14, 2013 at the fine old age of 18+. He is sorely missed by all who knew him. His final resting place is in the garden beneath the statue of Quan Yin in the picture.
